FREE Road Training Programme

UUSU Sport is pleased to announce a NEW Road Training Programme in association with TriCycle and Active Belfast. TriCycle, a local business, is offering FREE Road Training and Bike Maintenance on Jordanstown and Belfast campus.

The Road Training Programme will equip you to cycle short journeys and combine with public transport for longer journeys, teach you the required skills to cycle effectively on city roads as Belfast prepares for the arrival of the Public Cycle Hire scheme, empower you whilst riding on city roads, and increase your physical activity levels. In addition to Road Training you will receive a session on Bike Maintenance. Do not worry if you do not have a bike at this stage as bikes will be provided for the course; TriCycle will be able to offer advice and guidance on the best places to purchase a bike at minimal cost.

If you are interested in the Road Training Programme please contact Charlie on cl.peile@ulster.ac.uk for the timetable and further information. Slots are available for Level 1 &2 (2 hours) and Level 3 (2 hours) between Tuesday 14th October – Friday 7th November. The Bike Maintenance session will last 2 hours and slots are available between Tuesday 18th November – Friday 21st November.
