Free Cricket Kit

The Ulster University has established links with Cricket Ireland, the Northern & North West Cricket Unions, Newtownabbey & Coleraine Borough Councils, and Cliftonville and Coleraine Cricket Clubs to give cricketers of all standards the best opportunity to play cricket whilst studying at Ulster. Part of our of this exciting new approach includes a free Ulster University cricket top and trousers from O’Neills for all cricket club members this season.  The first thing that all of you need to do is join the UUSU Sports Membership.  You can do this at the Sports Centre on your campus, it is only £30.00 and gives you many benefits (Details available from your Sports Centre). Secondly, once you have become a member we need you to try on your cricket kit for size.  We have sample shirts and trousers which will be available for fitting on Wednesday 29th October between 12:00 and 14:00 at the Reception at Jordanstown Sports Centre (and at dates to suit members at other campuses). Additionally there will be a meeting in Sports Hall Two at Jordanstown Sports Centre on Wednesday 5th November at 16:00 when myself, Nigel Jones (Cricket Ireland) and Andrew McCulloch (University Cricket Coach) will outline the opportunities available from elite level to complete beginners for both male and female students. If you require any further information or have any questions please do not hesitate in contacting Andy McCulloch, University Cricket Coach on 078 8308 5112 or a.mcculloch@ulster.ac.uk.
